The Champagne Reviewer
BlondelEstablished in 1904 by Georges Mauclerc, the Monts Fournois house delivered its grapes to famous champagne companies. Since 1979, Thierry Blondel has sold his own harvest from his 10 hectare Premier Cru vineyard, with a south facing position.
Composed by half pinot noir and half chardonnay, it is located just in front of the farm in one piece (unusual in Champagne).
A manual shaking ends the bottles, that stay for a minimum of 3 years in the cave to assure a good maturity. Year Founded: 1904 Address: Domaine des Monts Fournois, BP 12, 51500 Ludes
